Wedding Plans Update!

Hey ladies!!

Hope y'all are doing well. It has been crazy busy with me lately. I have been working on wedding stuff hardcore lately. I have already started panicking b/c I have a little less than 8 months. Am I crazy? Yes I am. Oh well.

I have picked bridesmaid dresses! I love them! And so happy they are the color I wanted. My main wedding color was hard to find. But, lo and behold, we did. PTL!

First fitting is NEXT weekend. I am a little bummed b/c I wanted more time to get in shape. But y'all, I am in NO WAY ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH taking my bridal portraits in August or September is Charleston. If you are from Charleston, then you know EXACTLY why. Heat, bugs, humidity, and heat! Yeah, heat. Charleston gets hotter than blue blazes + the humidity... you can barely breathe!

Sooo with that being said, I will be taking my portraits in late April/early May. It can still be warm then but NOTHING like August. So I've got a bit of rushing around to do to get everything together.

I have almost all (but 4) Save the Dates addressed. I will post ours for you once I send them out. I love them. So they should be going out this weekend.

We have booked our DJ. Thank Goodness because one of my wedding nightmares is that I don't have a DJ. The other night it was that we never ordered our rings. Does it ever end? Before we got engaged, I was having nightmares about the ring...that it was a huge gaudy Superbowl ring. I kid you not, folks. Lord help me when I have children. I will NEVER sleep.

We have our first meeting with our pastor in 2 weeks. We do not actually attend his church, but he is a family friend of ours. I know he is going to be just perfect.

And lastly one of the things I am MOST excited for...we booked our honeymoon!! Can you guess the location?

Can October hurry up and get here? I am just so excited/stressed! But, I know it will all turn out awesome!

My weekend in pictures

When people say, "Sorry for the overload on pictures," I always think to myself...why?! I love looking at pictures. I'm a visual person. Pictures are sometimes much more fun that actual words. I mean when you were a kid, didn't you pick out the book to "read" that had mainly pictures in it? That's what I thought. So here you have it. Here is my weekend in pictures. And I'm not sorry. :)

Just another Manic Monday...

Here we are again folks....Monday! Not only is it Monday here, but it is a rainy, dark, dreary Monday. How in the world can that make anyone productive? I don't know about y'all but I could think of a million things better to do than sit at my work desk and answer emails/phone calls all day like working on wedding stuff, hanging out with my pup, catching up on my DVRed shows. Are you pickin' up what I'm layin' down? :)

This weekend we travelled to Charleston. It was my MOH's birthday so we celebrated on Saturday with Miyabi's (hibachi). It was good. We had the whole table to ourselves because there were 10 of us. It was fun. Lots of catching up between the girls and the guys. Unfortunately, we did not take any pictures. I'm getting really really bad about that.

We drove back Sunday and here we are Monday! The beau leaves for DC today for a work trip so it's just me and the pup. I have no idea what we'll do with ourselves. Actually I do. I call it going back to my single girl days...you know what I mean. And NO, not flirting with other guys. But more acting like there is no one to impress, eating what you want/when you want, watching what you want/when you want, etc!

New updates on me....I went to a Junior League Prospective Member Cocktail a few weeks ago. It was fun and intimidating at the same time. I think I might join. I think I could meet some more girls up here in G-Vegas and have some wine partners since all my BFFs are in the Chuck. I also started volunteering for a Lab rescue based in CHS. I am helping to approve families to adopt/foster labs who have been taken out of high kill shelters. It is a lot of work, but I love it. If you are in SC and are looking to adopt, let me know!! We have a FB page, Lowcountry Lab Rescue & also a website as well. We actually got our pup from them and he is AWESOME.
