Let us all remember the meaning behind Easter. It is not about dying eggs, Easter egg hunts, eating candy, and getting our picture taken with the Easter Bunny at the mall. It is about Christ dying for our sins and was resurrected from the dead on the 3rd day.
"Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." - John 11:25-26

I just love easter and I love making baskets and dyeing eggs! And you are right it is so easy to forget why we do those things! I hope you had a great day!
